The Guild creates spaces for social change
We develop community-owned models of land, housing, and real estate that put power back in the hands of the people.
Through real estate acquisition, development, and community-led programming, we transform spaces into shared assets—ensuring that more people, especially those historically excluded, have the opportunity to own, steward, and build collective wealth in their own neighborhoods.

The Community Stewardship Trust
We created a model called the Community Stewardship Trust (CST) that gives local residents the power to co-own and steward essential neighborhood spaces— like affordable housing, grocery stores, daycares, co-working spaces, and other commercial spaces for small businesses. By keeping these properties in community hands, we create stability, prevent displacement, and ensure that the wealth generated from real estate development in our neighborhoods stays with the people who live there.
More than ownership, the CST provides a tangible way to relate to land and to each other differently.
People’s Community Land Trust
Taking Atlanta’s housing back from corporate control
With housing costs rising and corporate landlords dominating the market, the PCLT is a powerful alternative. By removing homes from the for-profit, speculative real estate system, we secure permanently affordable housing for Atlanta residents—keeping families in their communities and preventing displacement.

Groundcover
To reclaim our neighborhoods, we need Reparative capital
Groundcover is our impact investment fund designed to move non-extractive, low-cost capital into the hands of communities building collective power. By financing cooperative models of land and real estate ownership, Groundcover creates real pathways to ownership for Black, brown, poor, and working-class communities—those historically locked out of wealth and control over land.
LIVING INTO OUR VALUES
We’re 100% Worker-OWned
As we build community-owned models for land and real estate, we’re also committed to living those values within our organization. That’s why we’ve structured ourselves as a worker cooperative—where every team member has an ownership stake and a voice in key decisions. By practicing economic democracy internally, we’re modeling the just, collective future we’re working to create in our communities.
