Stewardship & Governance

In this session, attendees will learn about and engage in various models of cooperative and community governance. You’ll explore the Community Stewardship Trust’s (CST) governance model and practices and learn about about challenges and solutions for collectively stewarding real estate properties.
LEARNING GOALS:
- Describe the purpose of governance and link this purpose to the goals of the CST
- Consider and describe various governance models, including cooperative or community governance
- Describe the governance model of the CST and understand how the CST embodies cooperative or community governance
- Name and consider factors that may make cooperative governance challenging, as well as strategies for overcoming them

Dinner will be provided at 5:30, session begins promptly at 6:00 pm.
